Flamboyant country rock singer Jade Hurley says he won’t press charges against the thieves who stole more than $250,000 worth of jewellery from him if they return it.
Hurley says the stolen jewellery, which includes diamond rings and bracelets, is worth more than their price tag to him as it represents 50 years of entertainment.
A day after he publicly revealed the theft, Hurley said he was not interested in pressing charges but simply wanted his jewellery returned links of london charms.
“My greatest fear now, with all the publicity that has been generated and the fact that my jewellery is so identifiable – it has Jade written all over it – that whoever has the jewellery will chuck them,” Hurley said.
“All I want is, no questions asked, but for them to just return them. Drop it off somewhere links of london sale.”
The jewellery was stolen from Hurley’s motorhome parked in front of the Royal Palm apartments on the Gold Coast some time between 5pm on Monday and 1.30pm (AEST) on Tuesday links of london outlet store.
“I have a tour down in Hunter Valley in the next couple of weeks and it’s going to be very, very difficult to walk on stage with nothing,” Hurley said links of london.
